A new wine retailer’s licence shall not be granted except pursuant to a District Court certificate.\u00a0 A certificate may be refused on the basis of the<\/p>\n
Objections may be made by \u00a0the Superintendent of Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na or persons residing in the neighbourhood. The Superintendent of Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na may object to renewal.<\/p>\n
They above provision regarding objection and \u00a0refusal by the District Court apply also to spirit retailer’s off-licence, beer retailers off -licence and wine retailers off-licences.<\/p>\n
The District Court may exercise in relation to a wine retailer\u2019s off-licence, with all necessary modifications, the powers, jurisdictions and authorities which it has in relation to a spirit retailer’s off-licence except the conditions applicable to a spirit retailer’s off-licence.<\/p>\n\n
